About   Us

Hill Country Revival, a well-known Texas Country act joins forces with new singer CJ Simmons to create a whole new sound. The band formed in 2017 and quickly made a reputation for themselves as a group of highly talented musicians who really knew how to put on a show. Straight from the Hill Country of Texas, they started playing locally and soon took on places all across the country.  Mixing wailing guitar leads into gritty vocals, HCR is Southern Rock, and Texas Country, with hints of blues and folk.

CJ Simmons

CJ Simmons

Lead Vocals

Being the youngest and newest member of HCR, he is every bit as packed with talent.  Described by fans as having “the voice of an angel”, CJ captivates and shocks even the sleepiest of drunks from any venue. He is not Fergie, he looks a little like Jesus, but he is all Simmons.

Colton Stieber

Colton Stieber

Lead Guitar

Time traveling here from the best of the past, Colton comes to bring you the most wicked guitar solos this side of planet earth.  Not only is he a photogenic m*therf*er, he brings you an otherworldy stage show with his moves. You will be left screaming for more.

Dean Willeford

Dean Willeford

Bass Guitar

More than gifted with a plumber’s behind, Dean will keep you dancing all night with his bass grooves. Dean will mesmerize you by shaking and spinning America’s Booty, showing you what being cornfed is all about. No wonder all the ladies are gravitated toward the stage.  That’s definitely something to clappa about.

Diamond Dave Rios

Diamond Dave Rios

Drums

As any smart one will tell you, the percussion is the most important part of making a good band. Dave will remind you of this with his loud angry drumming.  With all that passion, you will be left surprised how he can remember to keep the time so well, but that’s what being Diamond Dave is all about.  Dave and his snare is number one, don’t you forget it.

Ben Greene

Ben Greene

Steel Guitar

Our Ben is all about preserving the past, keeping the proud sit-down guitar tradition alive. And if you call it that in front of him, he’ll have you know that that at least he isn’t the fool playing a standup backwards tooth guitar. You can find Ben on stage brooding over his instrument, perhaps thinking about science and space.  That’s why Ben’s sound is so floaty and ethereal, making a perfect addition to CJ’s wanton voice and Colton’s stellar guitar.
