Bio
Hill Country Revival
Hill Country Revival is a Texas rock and country band built around a loud, guitar-driven sound, heavy grooves, and songs that walk the line between honky tonk and full throttle rock and roll. Blending the grit of Southern rock with the storytelling and swagger of Texas country, HCR moves comfortably between hard charging rockers, honky tonk rhythms, and more melodic, emotionally driven moments.
At the center of the band’s sound is honest songwriting backed by cranked amps, a powerful rhythm section, and a live energy that gives each song a little more weight. Tracks like “Whiskey Runnin’” and “Silver Fox” showcase the rowdier side of the band, while their newer material aims to expand into a more alternative, western sound without losing the rawness that defines Hill Country Revival.
On August 28th, Hill Country Revival released their highly anticipated debut record “A Place Much Better” that pushed the band further into the space between Texas country, Southern Rock, and Alt-Country while keeping the focus on authentic writing, big guitars, and the kind of performances meant to be heard on a cranked radio. Since it’s release, the album has recieved wide praise from critics and garnered over 100K streams on Spotify alone in less than a month.
